Nutty game of football. We started nervously & Liverpool capitalised. Not sure what Walcott was doing trying to run the ball out of the area. He's no good at dribbling into empty space let alone when there are players around. It was some even more comical defending for Liverpool's second although you have to give credit to Firmino. After they went 2-1 up, we probably edged the general play so I think a draw is a fair result. Giroud was very good but all of those who wonder why Arsenal fans get frustrated with him should take a look at his miss from 2 yards away with a simple tap-in into an open goal at his mercy. He misses 10 or so easy chances a season. If he scored them, he'd score 25 league goals minimum and be considered world class, but he doesn't! Campbell's passing has gone up a notch. Not sure whether he always had that in his locker and confidence from playing a run of games has allowed that to come out or it's something he's consciously worked on but either way I'm impressed.
@SteveHyland Agree about Giroud, just not quite on the world class level but clearly talented. Thought your boys did exceptional to turn the match on it's head. It reminded me of when we were 2-0 up against Man City and they just wrestled it back to 2-2. We ended up winning that match and drawing tonight but it takes a serious team to stop our momentum when we get going. Draw probably a fair result.
Giroud save gunners. great game from both sides. Firmino what a star!! He destroyed a very good defence. Arsenal have a very good bench so they will continue performing well.
@sampo- Firmino looked very good at Hoffenheim tbf. It's only really the £39m price tag which got people thinking wtf? but, long term, as a right sided striker a la Suarez, I think he has a bright future. Still only 24.
@LionelJ- Are the add-ons realistic ones or those such as winning the Ballon d'Or, getting 50 caps for Brazil by the end of his contract etc- those not really in his control?
@fafaq- That performance had a lot to do with City's terrible defending for a whole 90 minutes though. Arsenal only defended badly for the first 20 and last 5.
@neumi17- Quiet by his standards thus far this season, 'only' 3 chances created (averaged 4.37/game before this match). Not a bad game but Ramsey was better. It was more of his type of match tbf.
Don't know why whoscored predicted a 0-1 scoreline. Liverpool vs Arsenal is always high scoring, these are 2 teams who are attack minded and play the game in the right way.
@koziol.mutant You ust be joking because You are wrong !!! Touré has played 9 games this season 6 won 3 draw 0 loss 1 Yellow card ! don't hate him bro he is much better than Skertel ! right now
@John_Wick- As I said below, that's a case of FIFA sulking. If you think Alves, Thiago Silva, Ramos, Marcelo and Modric are the best in their positions (or even in the top 5) then you need to see a doctor. Only 1 Bayern Munich player pretty much says it all about FIFA's lack of respect to those outside of La Liga or Iberian-origin international players.
@SteveHyland they even choose iniesta 1goal 1 assist this season .no goal last season 1 assist the most illogical thing is that he is attack medfielder behind MSN 3 BEST forwards in the world. Even the referee can score or assist after those players. So its a complement for iniesta to be among best 11 he knows him self that hes not in form . De bruyne, mehrez,pogba,ozil etc are better than him in 2016
@sampo- I personally don't see how Rakitic didn't get in. His numbers were down from his Sevilla days (where he played an entirely different role) but he was imperative to everything Barcelona did well last season, more-so than Iniesta. As great as Oezil has been this season, you know far well he wont get into the FIFA XI next season unless Arsenal win the champions league- which is highly unlikely, and force FIFA to pay respect. As I said above, only 1 Bayern player too. Laughable.
@anthony.beswick.10- Yeah, I actually meant what specifically, whether "selling all that salt" meant something different on the internet as what I take it to mean in real life. Never been up with web slang/terms. I'm really old. :-(
A tight game here with no much goals to be scored but I fancy Arsenal to go 2:0. Key players are missing for lvpl and those returning won't be at their best.
I AM GOING WITH ARSENAL 2-1/3-1 WALCOTT CAMPBELL GIROUD OZIL RAMSEY TO MUCH FOR LFC AM AFRAID AND IF THEY TRY TO BE DEFENSIVE WITH TOURE AND CAN AT BACK THAT COULD BE A DISASTER FOR LFC
Difficult to predict. If we give each other space (like each of us tend to), Arsenal should win. If we play dueling counterattacks, Arsenal should win. If there is something asymmetric, I'll get more concerned. The problem with playing Klopp is that his press forces mistakes (like Koscielny's last week). We could outplay them and mess up once to lose points. Hopefully their weak centreback situation will help us out.
@Bellerin My thoughts exactly. We still have a habit to loose the ball in dangerous positions, although our game is more consistent. Funny thing is that we should learn from Tottenham in that respect! With their best game and our worst Liverpool can do us the same they did against City, but I highly doubt that. My prediction would be 0-1 or 0-2 Arsenal win, with couple of costly errors from Sakho, Can and co.
Arsenal Shuld WIn. Ozil is in amazing form, Alexis Sanchez by Wenger Words maybe is option for this game. Liver is different now, but with very injuries and Coutinho is one of them. 0-1 ou 1-2.
Liverpool do not have a bad squad, is just that the players have not played together in a good run, I remember Emre Can has has played, right back, left back, central midfielder and winger not long ago, Firmino and Lallana are Aston Villa standard and offer nothing to the team, Benteke will score a goal but he will need the ball to do so, Coutinho missing here immensely. Liverpool back 4 will be pierced too many times by Ozil's passes even though Leiva will be tasked to mark Ozil, you can mark Ozil anytime but you cant stop his killer passes!Giroud and Walcott will score 1 each surely. Arsenal's back 4 and their keeper is world class right now and Bellerin and Monreal are far ahead of Clyne and Moreno. Mignolet's biggest test is this game. I see this game ending 2:0 or 3:1 to Arsenal. Giroud, Walcott,Campbell, Ozil and Ramsey all have goals in them! Leiva, Can, Allen, Firmino and Lallana not sure if they've scored this year, thats how average they are!
Even with Liverpool's first XI, I would expect us to win. Klopp teams are very open and you can regularly get at them. He doesn't have the quality at his disposal like he did when we played a very good Dortmund team those times in the CL. Now they have half their team injured, and we have a team who have had important players rested, I expect a 2-goal margin of victory. Will go with 3-1.
@kummerspeck- Any "world team" where the defence is comprised of Dani Alves, Thiago Silva, Sergio Ramos and Marcelo is invalid in the majority of people's eyes anyway and that's excluding the fact Modric is 1 of the 3 midfielders when he's about the 12th best CM. We all know the anti-English feeling at FIFA because we were 1 of maybe 3 at the most 1st-world countries to call them out for, let's say 'suspect' behaviour. That filters through to every footballing decision. When we were dominating Europe, they had no choice but to show due respect but now we've had 3 bad seasons, even individual player selections for world team of the year (which shouldn't be dependent on team performance) are used for FIFA to show their colours. We also all know the pro-Hispanic feeling (Liga and Spanish/South American players). Messi getting world cup man of the tournament when he was about 7th best etc. I can't argue with 5 of the front 6 or the keeper but everybody else... total joke.
@What4
Theys Lost 4-0 against Southptom because how can i explain "Is like a course" Arsenal have since ever bad difficult in Sant Mary Stadium (Southampton).
Bue Arsenal is good away. Was the first team beat Leicester... 2-5
@Tipscarena we had a slip up it happens when your arsenal but when your liverpool you cant expect much but a slip up because thev'e been like that for how many years 7th or below is liverpools place lol
@What4 yep I do, but I'll repeat what I said. 4-0 to southampton. Still need to play Liverpool, City,United and Spurs away. That record won't be second for long.
@wgkhaw remind me when was the last time liverfool won any silverware and why they cant reach top 4 how much was andy carrol and how many managers have they had show some respect for wenger arsenal are way better then liverfools facts
@wgkhaw
Failure? More respect with Wenger. We see to Arsenal squad and... Yes is a choice Arsenal have lot of money (now more because Stadium is complet) but is a Club very charismatic. One of the best of the world, and Wenger one of the best coaches
@modernman Before now, it was "several years without ANY trophy". Now that we've had back-to-back FA and Community Shield, it now "12 years without EPL". We'll see about this by the end of the season.
Skrtel, Lovren and Sakho are injured! Toure and Can are going to play in the heart of the Liverpool's defence. On top of that, Coutinho and Henderson are out, too! I don't think Klopp will be able to cope with those absences.
A 3 way game. I'm glad that Skrtel will miss it. Liverpool's performance in big games was great so far - wins vs City, Chelsea, Leicester, a draw vs Arsenal and a defeat vs United. I think Liverpool's defensive quality will decide the game. If they are solid at the back, they will win. My prediction is that they won't be able to cope with Walcott's runs and that will cause damage. 1-3 COYG!
@Peter_Griffin, The comparison comes from an interview the bbc had with Klopp last
year when he referred to watching Arsenal as like an orchestra as they are so fluid and great to watch. Klopp was then asked what his playing style was like and he said well, i'm more like heavy metal.
3rd Giroud goal should also have a Campbell assist...
@SteveHyland It's actually £21 million plus add ons but yeah, big expectations to live up to with that price tag
@LionelJ- Are the add-ons realistic ones or those such as winning the Ballon d'Or, getting 50 caps for Brazil by the end of his contract etc- those not really in his control?
What a crazy game lol great stuff.
Great game anyway.
Liverpool play the best game of their season, and they only draw against us, and at home too.
@What4 To be fair Arsenal also played one of their best matches all season, and it wasn't our best because we made defensive mistakes
@What4 nope. our best game was against man. city
@fafaq- That performance had a lot to do with City's terrible defending for a whole 90 minutes though. Arsenal only defended badly for the first 20 and last 5.
What an epic game !
Deserved equalizer
Is Özil doing anything?
@neumi17- Quiet by his standards thus far this season, 'only' 3 chances created (averaged 4.37/game before this match). Not a bad game but Ramsey was better. It was more of his type of match tbf.
@neumi17 He asks after Ozil has been taken off. Mug.
@What4 No I didn't, check the time. He was taken off two minutes later! But that answered my question probably also...
Big Funking Tackle on Lallana.
GIROOOOOOO!!!
Hello Ibe, meet Monreal's pocket.
Walcott, error led to goal. But no error for Mignolet who practically let a corner fly straight in the net?
@j.c Can't blame the keeper that's the defenders job at the near post
@LionelJ More than one error perhaps, but I would still include an error for Mignolet, since it went through his hands, on it's way into the net.
@j.c tough though as Giroud got a flick just before it came to Mignolet, for me the defender should never let it in that area in the first place
Don't know why whoscored predicted a 0-1 scoreline. Liverpool vs Arsenal is always high scoring, these are 2 teams who are attack minded and play the game in the right way.
@LionelJ Because the first match this season finished 0-0 maybe?
@LionelJ Because Liverpool hardly ever scores a goal and also hardly ever let's one in...
@neumi17 This season not so much because we have striker issues but we are not a defensive team and neither are Arsenal
@neumi17 you misspelled Chelsea m8
Lucky shot from Firmino. Any other day and Giroud would have scored from Walcott's pass.
Lord Mignolet
ffs Arsenal are having one of those games again
CAMPBELL!!!! RAMSEY!!!
Get ready for a pasting Liverpool!
4-1..motm Firmino
@fafaq never predict the predictability of stupidity
@Logical the quote is "Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity"
@MiguelSuave i knnow
@fafaq Tell me lotto numbers please.
BENCH: Macey, Gabriel, Gibbs, Chambers, Arteta, Chamberlain, Iwobi.
OFFICIAL (4-2-3-1 as standard): Cech, Bellerin, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal, Flamini, Ramsey, Walcott, Oezil, Campbell. Giroud.
toure in defence = sure loss, don't joke, Arsenal 2-1
@koziol.mutant You ust be joking because You are wrong !!! Touré has played 9 games this season 6 won 3 draw 0 loss 1 Yellow card ! don't hate him bro he is much better than Skertel ! right now
Went for 3-1 Liverpool, Lucas MOTM. Probably not likely, but you never know.
1:2 Arsenal
Judging by injuries Liverpool is the new Bayern Munich.
Such a shame . Not even a single epl player in world xi. Abysmal quality standards
@John_Wick- As I said below, that's a case of FIFA sulking. If you think Alves, Thiago Silva, Ramos, Marcelo and Modric are the best in their positions (or even in the top 5) then you need to see a doctor. @SteveHyland You should start selling all that salt, Steve.
@Lulzovich- Not familiar with that saying I'm afraid but I'm guessing it wasn't complimentary? Lol
@SteveHyland I think he's saying that you're being a bit salty
@anthony.beswick.10- Yeah, I actually meant what specifically, whether "selling all that salt" meant something different on the internet as what I take it to mean in real life. Never been up with web slang/terms. I'm really old. :-(
firstly you should know arsernal kick the ball always use their brain. liverpool no chance at all
liverpool 0-3 Arsenal Pls believe my prediction
its a really hard game but considering the current form for both teams and the injury-struck liverpool I think I'll give arsenal the upper hand
Oziiiil 0-3
0-1 Whoscored
A tight game here with no much goals to be scored but I fancy Arsenal to go 2:0. Key players are missing for lvpl and those returning won't be at their best.

COME ON YOU GUNNEEEEEEEERS!
Expect the unexpected
@SlippinJimmy- No injuries on either team would be the unexpected! Ha. Sure both sets of fans can agree on that being a good thing.

1-2 to Arsenal, I want Liverpool to win but with injuries and such I don't see it happening. =(
Liverpool 2-1 Arsenal hahahahaha
Arsenal Shuld WIn. Ozil is in amazing form, Alexis Sanchez by Wenger Words maybe is option for this game. Liver is different now, but with very injuries and Coutinho is one of them. 0-1 ou 1-2.
this game is very nice over 2.5 ; two teams with much to improve and decent players to score some goals. decent odd for that as well ...
Liverpool to win this one or draw, I can't see Arsenal wining especially the poor performance against Newcastle and Liverpool's form against big teams
@aymane.spur errrrm exeter west ham and newcastle ok its clearly an arsenal win
0-2 goals f.time possible 1-1 or 0-0
i will go with 0-0
Can't wait for this game two top managers two top team hope the game gets a good ref for the game
Not even a single selection in FIFA team of the year. What a absolute joke EPL has become.
Hard to see how Liverpool can keep Arsenal quiet when Klopp has 0 center backs fit. I don think they can score though, maybe 2-2.
What a list, a top coach like Klopp can make it with such tight resources. 1-1.
Arsenal are poor away and Liverpool have been average this season but have turned up against the bigger teams. I'm going to say 2-2.
@Goon Poor away? Arsenal are the 2nd best away from home this season, check the table.
@What4 lost to west brom, chelsea and 4-0 to southampton mate.
@Goon You do understand that having the 2nd best away record means that 18 teams in the league have a worse away record, right?
@What4 Theys Lost 4-0 against Southptom because how can i explain "Is like a course" Arsenal have since ever bad difficult in Sant Mary Stadium (Southampton). Bue Arsenal is good away. Was the first team beat Leicester... 2-5

@Poon doubt that pal you must be on about exeter lol
My prediction would be 1-3, walcott motm and ozil assisting two goals. Lets hope Liverpool gets no new injuries.
0-2 Arsenal
Liverpool will win 2-1
Clippity Klopp has no defenders fit so i'm going for a big 4-0 to Arsenal.
@rogue Ayyy lmao 4-0 eh
The normal one vs The failure specialist :)
@wgkhaw the hipster one vs the smart one.
@wgkhaw remind me when was the last time liverfool won any silverware and why they cant reach top 4 how much was andy carrol and how many managers have they had show some respect for wenger arsenal are way better then liverfools facts

@wgkhaw Had a look at the table any time recently? And how did you enjoy the Exeter game?
@wgkhaw failure?? hahahaha what an idiot
@goonergunner 12 years without the Epl trophy?!?! Plus Zero Champions league trophies?!!? total failure
@modernman Before now, it was "several years without ANY trophy". Now that we've had back-to-back FA and Community Shield, it now "12 years without EPL". We'll see about this by the end of the season.
@goonergunner Idiot. I'm a Liverpool fan but I'd be happy with a draw here, just no more injuries!!!
4-1
Skrtel, Lovren and Sakho are injured! Toure and Can are going to play in the heart of the Liverpool's defence. On top of that, Coutinho and Henderson are out, too! I don't think Klopp will be able to cope with those absences.
@ramsey Caulker... Can't say I'm excited

@ramsey Sanchez should be fit and available for this game.
@Valor No, he won't.
Come on Klopp, show Wenger how 'The Normal One' gets things done
@Peter_Griffin yh give us a performance like when you played exerter lol
@Peter_Griffin Orchestra vs Heavy Metal
@Valor Interesting comparison
@Peter_Griffin, The comparison comes from an interview the bbc had with Klopp last year when he referred to watching Arsenal as like an orchestra as they are so fluid and great to watch. Klopp was then asked what his playing style was like and he said well, i'm more like heavy metal.
@rogue hmmm missed that interview. interesting
@Peter_Griffin, you might be able to find it on utube ;)
@Peter_Griffin The Normal one vs the Experienced One. Exciting!!!
Arsenal will win the match
Massive week for both team AFC will get news on Sanchez fitness LFC on Sturbridge & Hendo who ever wins the midfield wins this game
