  • Liverpool doing well the new fullbacks good signings Defense vastly improved Skrtl doing a great job as usual looking forward to Rodgers going forward from here.

  • Barca- we have Messi, Real- we have Ronaldo, Chelsea- we have Hazard, Arsenal- we have Petr Cech.

  • @HellKitchen who handed win to WHU

  • Kudos to Liverpool pool. Without Gerrard, Sterling they stopped the gooners. The Liverpool defence has improved substantially.

  • But but but I thought Cech was past it?

  • Arsenal's problem is so simple: the fact that all three of Ramsey, Ozil, and Cazorla are playing at the same time majorly slows the game down for them, and Arsenal literally doesn't have a right winger because Ramsey's always in the middle of the field. All Arsene has to do is take out one of these guys (I think Ramsey can just be a super-sub or something) and put in Oxlade-Chamberlain

  • @madridistagunner- Yep and Oezil playing regularly in the 10 where he was excellent at the back end of last season and in this preseason. Now Alexis is back, that part will surely happen.

  • Really high team ratings for a 0-0 draw. They really reflect the quality of the match.

  • @vasilis14 Agreed, for a nil-nil, this was a cracking match to watch and the ratings accurately reflect that

  • 8.9 is the highest rating I've ever seen for a keeper.

  • @6seconds http://www.whoscored.com/Matches/836751/Live

  • @MacGoreth not now, after seen this. Howard with an incredible count of 15 saves, a record in world cup. Also the first and only goal keeper to get a rating of 10 of this site.

  • @MacGoreth first and only??? http://www.whoscored.com/Matches/720153/Live/England-Premier-League-2013-2014-Tottenham-Newcastle-United

  • @MacGoreth 10 is the highest rating I've ever seen for a keeper.

  • @6seconds How did Howard get a 10 when he conceded 2 goals?

  • @LionelJ if it wasn't from him, USA could have lost that game by 14-1, easily. Go look at his individual highlight from that match. He seemed to be possessed lol Again, he had a record of 15 saves from deadly shots.

  • @MacGoreth Yeah I remember the match. He was fantastic but even so I'm surprised that you could get a 10 without keeping a clean sheet.

  • @LionelJ @MacGoreth whoscored rating is based on math, when the goalkeeper conceded, he will loses some points, when he made a save, he gain some points. So it is possible to get a rating of 10 when conceded 1 or 2 goals, but saves a lot.

  • Draw probably a fair result. Can't believe there was no goals though, should have been 2-2.

  • @LionelJ- Both keepers were excellent which helped. Mignolet is much maligned but people forget how many times he saved Sunderland from drubbings and how secure he looks when his back 4 are playing well- like they did today. A draw was about right, I agree. The quality from both teams outside of the keepers, Coquelin for us and Coutinho for you was poor. It's been a strange start to the season. City will win the league by 30 points at this rate.

  • @SteveHyland Mignolet is a Fantastic shot stopper.. it's other things he's not very good at

  • @LionelJ One of the more entertaining 0-0 draws.

  • Aerials won by Benteke... Insane

  • @bauwe.nys Kießling won more aerials in the 1st round of Bundesliga .. he won 17

  • Arsenal needs to use Ozil more and get him further forward

  • @TacticalMastermind I have no idea what's goin on btw. Ozil is almost playing like a DM second half as his whole team Keeps pushing past him

  • @TacticalMastermind arsenal need him to play like a number 10 rather than regista

  • @Whoscored, Coutihno has hit the woodwork twice.

  • @LionelJ The second time Cech tipped it onto the bar so that doesn't count

  • Arsenal so lucky... what a poor team.

  • Bona fide world class performances from Coquelin and Cech. 2 amazing saves by Cech which he had no right to make and probably only he of all the keepers in the prem could actually make. Coquelin has stopped 2 probable 1-on-1 opportunities and has been the only outfield player for us to show any sort of composure on the ball or organisation without it. If we had a genuine right winger, he would've made 2 excellent balls to feet too. A 10/10 performance thus far. Not sure how the Ramsey goal was given offside, it wasn't even close. Great ball by Santi although that's the only thing he's done right. Liverpool getting every offside decision this season it seems. Chambers having a mare. Not sure how even statistically he could be scoring a 7.2 when he has given the ball away at least 5 times. Those numbers the other way round maybe. If we were playing City, we'd be 5 or 6 down. Our passing is a joke and Wenger needs to rollock the players at HT.

  • @SteveHyland That "genuine right winger" is Oxlade-Chamberlain, problem is Wenger doesn't play him even though he's Arsenal best player half the games he plays

  • @madridistagunner- Absolutely. Not sure how he got dropped after 1 bad game (when pretty much everybody else for us also played bad) yet other players are kept in for months without producing. Wenger doesn't mind causing unbalance in the team just to put Ramsey in. I wouldn't mind if it were Messi but Aaron isn't world class yet.

  • @SteveHyland 10/10 performance?? Liverpool were the way better team in the first half, arsenal though have came back nicely and been the way better 2nd half team.

  • @Agreen- As Miguel & NotBiased said, it was in reference to Francis' performance. We were dire first half, very good 2nd half but Liverpool defended well.

  • @Agreen he was talking about Coquelin you muppet

  • @Agreen he was rating Coquelin's perf, I believe

  • If wenger is smart he should send in debauchy to help out the boys at back.

  • Outstanding stuff from Cech and Coquelin !! Really proud of the team for giving their 100%

  • chambers 7.3?HAHA

  • Outstanding! Liverpool win.

  • Good Game for Cech so far !

  • @Seif23juventino Incredible game for Cech. He is a level (or two) above the makeshift centre back pairing.

  • The ramsey disallowed goal was so tight. I think he was just leaning offside.

  • @LionelJ He was onside

  • @hasan why the heck people disliking this??? he was so onside. stop being a fanboy!

  • Without per and koscielny this looks hard for arsenal.... liverpool's luck continues

  • @hasan hasan senin götünü başını sikerim adam ol

  • @hasan Every team gets injuries. Liverpool are missing, Sturridge, Lallana, Hendersona and Flannagan.

  • @LionelJ You just don't lose your A team all of a sudden. Sturridge and Flannagan are out for some time and Lallana and henderson have enough excellent replacement in Liverpool. Chambers and Gabriel don't have the cohesion neither the experience for such a game. Chambers doesn't even have the basic right for this game.

  • @LionelJ Yeah, but the loss of a centre back pairing unexpectedly is a different story.

  • @hasan Why no per or kos?

  • @6seconds- Per is ill, Kos has a back injury.

  • @6seconds Kos hurt, mert sick

  • the game will be over 2.5 goals

  • 1-0 liverpool but arsenal will create many chances

  • Х2

  • It will be a tough game, both sides to be cautious. A match that can go either way will probably go neither. Yet I don't think Arsenal stands a single chance against Liverpool!

  • Predict 2-0 Arsenal goals from Sanchez and Ramsey.

  • Can't see Liverpool (my team) beating Arsenal at Emirates due to managerial reasons, you know, Rodgers isn't a man for big occasions, but hopefully we manage to get something out of this game.. fingers crossed for tonight.. C"mon you Reds!!

  • This tie will be a draw, or arsenal will nick a win here.

  • I hope for draw for this game coz liverpool isn't catching their pace......as i am a liverpool fan, win would be more delightful.

  • "After Henderson picked up an injury against Bournemouth, Can and Lucas look set to move into the midfield." Where is the evidence that Lallana is going to be dropped? Or Ibe for that matter? Hasn't Rodgers openly stated that he's going to stick with the team he picked for the first match and everyone else has to force their way in?

  • @adamnelson always trust WS

  • Liverpool won the first match by a lucky goal and the 2nd match by an offside form. They played bad in both matches. Against Arsenal they will fall down without doubts.. Arsenal win 100%

  • @tinxhi Big words considering you lost 2-0 to West Ham and narrowly edged Leicester.

  • @tinxhi And Arsenal has apparently looked good this season so far? Please. Arsenal might win, but it's certainly not a lock. Liverpool hasn't looked great, but Arsenal hasn't even looked good yet.

  • @tinxhi Both team did play well against liverpool, arsenal have a tendency to not live upto expectations.

  • will be happy, if firmino starts. think he'll score. MOTM coutinho. think he'll assist

  • will be happy, if firmino starts. think he'll score. MOTM coutinho. think he'll assist

  • Is funny how Whoscored's analysation of Liverpool as a team stating it has no weaknesses! haha

  • I would've had a more positive feeling about this game if it was played on a sunday, I don't like monday games...but that's just me being crazy I think.

  • Arsenal - Liverpool 4:0/4:1

  • i'd say this match will end with a draw, no team is on form. LFC won last time with a controversial goal, Arsenal can't be trusted. 1-1

  • Neither of teams will go all guns blazing, it should be a goalless fixture at halftime and still end with a draw. But it's BPL so basically something like 3:2 would be equally unsurprising. I can't see the visitors coming away with anything more than a point however.

  • Arsenal won. Ozil motm

  • Bitter and boring goal less draw. When you expect Arsenal to play better, they play the worst. No expectations.

  • Expecting a hard fought midfield battle and Liverpool look all 6's and 7's recently especially now with both Lallana and Henderson doubtful for this fixture. I am sure Brendan Rodgers would be happy with a point.

  • Is going to be 2:0 to gunners! There's too much class in Cazorla, Ozil, Alexis, Ox etc. Liverpool have no edge yet with 6 new players in the team! COYG!

  • Liverpool

  • I only wish wenger start with ox rather than ramsey, because both sanchez and ox can dodge people, make those runs, and ozil can pass these guys. And giroud can stand in between defenders and score. And later in the game sub in walcott when the defenders are tired, so arsenal could go for the kill. But we need ozil and cazorla to start scoring goals from mid of part like isco and toure. But I can only wish

  • @hasan- Yep, Chamberlain has to play and I don't see how he was dropped after 1 poor game when he destroyed Chelsea in the previous one. His dynamism and the fact he doesn't mind staying wide allows us to stretch the pitch make the midfielder's job(s) easier. Ramsey 99% of the time gets the ball on the right then drifts inside. So easy to defend against. H is an excellent box-to-box midfielder who has a knack for scoring but Cazorla is the man in possession of that role and even I you take away his penalties offers us more than Aaron when he's in form.

  • @SteveHyland Why can't Wenger play the team he played in Community shield. Walcott is benched most of the times.

  • @HellKitchen Walcott is only doesn't push much of the ball, he just stays in the mid of the park ready for a run. He is still learning to be a forward. Plus his scoring ability is in doubt after his injury.

  • 2 of the better PL teams but neither have been great in their opening 2 games. It's a real tough game to call, could end up a draw.

  • @LionelJ Liverpool does have a good defensive team but arsenal would have to keep possession and hope to catch liverpool on the counter attack

  • @hasan Liverpool has what? Good defence? Actually, if you switched team names in your comment, it would make more sense.

  • Forgive me but i'll go a goaless draw here. 0-0

  • @Zee530 I agree with you. Bitter and boring draw.

  • @HellKitchen And so it was.

  • @Zee530 I sould have bet all my assets on it. Hush.

  • i think ospina is more reliable than cech. Cech is more lazy, less movement, less effort to catch the ball than oooooospina..

  • @Podol Cech definitely has the quality. He still struggles with the idea of arsenal zonal defence.

  • Ez win for Arsenal

  • Arsenal's defending against long shots is usually because they are expected to believe in their keeper. However,it has become our undoing in the opening games. Wenger will most likely look forward to change tactics. Coutinho shoots everywhere but he didn't manage a shot on target on Monday( I wonder why they compare him to Özil. Özil doesn't shoot, he passes. Pinpoint passes). Anyway I Trust Koscienly manning Benteke. Giroud will probably turn up for this one. 2-0 to the Gonners. COYG

  • Put your money on a 0:0 until half time , and a one nil to either club at 90 minutes, Cant see this game being a Classic, but hope its a 4:4 :-).

  • 3-1 Arsenal, Skrtel to get away with 10+ penalty-worthy fouls, Cazorla to rediscover his form against a hapless sitting midfield of Henderson & Milner and Coutinho to have at least 1 long-range shot. In all seriousness, I see Benteke as a threat. He is the type of striker Koscielny has struggled against in the past and he is in form. If Per goes tight to him and Laurent does clean-up duty then we'll be fine. We will defend too high a line as per usual but I fancy Bellerin to be more than a match for Ibe so there shouldn't be a 1-on-1 against Mertesacker.

  • @SteveHyland That's a best case scenario. Lets hope for it.

  • @SteveHyland cazorla to rediscover form? The guy has 2 Motm already......dude.

  • @mistawess- He was non-existent against West Ham so I'm not sure who gave him the MotM in that game and was decent but not exactly amazing against Palace, Oezil was better (and I think was rated such on here) but he wasn't amazing either I.A.H. Alan Smith gave him the MotM rather by default I feel and Koscielny got the W.S MotM. You won find a bigger fan of Santi's than me, but he hasn't been the unplayable maestro we're used to.

  • @SteveHyland Skrtel will get away with a header while arsenal are zonal defending like always and coutinho might try to curl on past Cech but arsenal never looks into such minute details... I believe walcott should be the one to break the deadlock.

  • @hasan- That's true, we don't bother marking properly at corners.

  • I think this will finish 2-1 to Arsenal but it could go either way. If Alexis Sanchez is on his game and not too selfish it could be another 4-1 hammering. Ozil MoTM

  • @Overmars I don't think Ozil MoTM but he has the potential

  • @Overmars Either way I am happy

  • Or rather 1-3

  • @jchann1 Liverpool to score would only happen if Cech is sleeping during the match.

  • Arsenal 0-2 Liverpool

  • @jchann1 Keep dreaming... Liverpool barely managed to score against Bournmouth. Arsenal 2-1

  • @hasan Better to have narrowly beaten Bournemouth than to have been blanked 2-0 by the club that just handed Bournemouth its first BPL win. 1-1 draw methinks

  • @hasan upvoted

  • @hasan Liverpool were pathetic against Bournemouth. They got a goal that should have been disallowed.

  • This one is going to be a thriller.... liverpool always plays a aggresive game. Which means Cech is going to be test a lot in this game.
