  • young revolution at Man U. Beautiful sight.

  • I really think Wenger should resign if Leicester and or Spurs finish above them, we are tired of coming 4th and going out at the 4th round of champions league

  • well played man utd , first time ive seen depay play as well as he did all last season in holland. if arsenal cant put in a better performance than that against a depleted side like united they will never win the premier league. thanks for the result united, its a 2 horse race now between leicester and spurs

  • @Foxeyrod He wasn't really good in that display...

  • I am a spurs fan and we should easily win the league this season but we are stuck in the damn europa league. This will be a very tough week for us with around 4 games in 10 days.Meanwhile arsenal they rested their squad against hull then lost to barca, they got an extra day rest against an injury ridden manu side who played thursday, they lost again. So i have to ask with such advantages do arsenal really deserve to win this league?. They simply arent good enough.they will beat swansea and maybe us after our 4th game in 9 days, but they dont deserve it. I hope Leicester go all the way.

  • @spursman i am leicester fan this year. If we lose the lead i hope it for spurs. B ccoz they deserve it . Spurs (manager+players+fans) know and respect the opponent's abilities.

  • Walcott MUST be sold in summer, time for another person, another 60 minutes of Arsenal playing 10 men. Wenger please let him go

  • I should thank Arsenal for 2 things: 1. The participation in the training session for Manu's trainees. Our youngesters (RAsh18, TIMO18, WEIR20, YANUZAJ20, VARELA22 AND DEPAY22) admire it and enjoy it. 2. improving Rashford's shots on target. Coz he needed a team with weak defence to try his chances. His first 2 attempts in EPL were scored. What a defence!! . He scored twice against Midtjylland and twice against Arsenal. So MEDTJYLLAND=arsenal . (arsenal in small letters because they conceded 2 goals in 32 mn while MEDTJY have taken the lead in their game for 32mn ,and because RASH gave an assist after fixing the disorganised defence as a baksheesh). No desrespect to U, RASH!! , U are the magic of the magic. We love you. Finally, I like to say to Arsenal fans: stop dreaming!! U have money and stars . u have a great team but u need a manager like Watford or Bournmouth managers who uses tactics pragmatically.

  • Come to think of it, I think it would have been better for Campbell to come on for Welbeck, I'm starting to miss that guy.

  • Fraud alert Fraud alert Fraud alert Walcott stats 62 mins plays 16 touches 9 passes with 66% on target 0 Tackles 0 Interception 0 clearance 0 shots 0 shots on target 0 key passes

  • that neymar-esque skill by depay was amazing.....

  • @abhishek.pandit.756 That flick over his head was amazing, best part of the game, not Van Gaal's Maureenho-esque theatrics.

  • Oh and can we stop bashing Mertesacker now? He is clearly a better defender than Gabriel right now.

  • @What4 neither is good enough to be starting for Arsenal

  • What a great game that had a bit of everything. We had 5 goals, a bit of handbags, LVG having a go at the 4th official and falling to the floor to describe an Arsenal players dive which was hilarious. I only noticed Walcott was on the pitch when he got subbed off !. And a very good result for Leicester City and Spurs.

  • @rogue may not have been as good as Keane v Viera but this was one of he most entertaining matches of the season!

  • Well done to Man U , despite having so many players missing, they clearly played better than us. That performance was unacceptable, we really should have won this game. Guess we have to back Leicester now. And by the way, Pawson is a million times better than Dean, I guess we won't be seeing much more of him in that case.

  • Arsenal cant even beat Man United U21s. What a joke of a club.

  • @denisgrad- Stones and glass houses....

  • Arsenal gonna Arsenal

  • Did we just lose to United u-21 team featuring Blind and Carrick at CB? Ok then. Another title bites the dust and Tottenham definitely finishing above us.. Good season

  • Well done United. Can't help but feel a bit sorry for Arsenal not going home with atleast one point, as they did well under the circumstances. The yellow card given to a frustrated Özil said it all.

  • van Gaal is a funny guy, that fall next to the ref was epic

  • I hope Rashford can push on from this good start... Let's hope English media don't ruin him with hype...

  • @MSNism- It's guaranteed the English media will ruin him although most of the time it's more a case of overhyping somebody who doesn't actually have the level of talent they say he does. Rashford, as it stands, has scored twice against a poor Danish team and twice from close range coming off of a defender's errors.

  • @MSNism I was thinking the same

  • When you see arsenal with 2goals, you can bet that ozil has contributed to one goal thanks to at least one assist for sure.

  • @modric1997 Ozil with a goal and an assist, I wonder what we'll get from Neumi now.

  • @What4 Just kidding .. ;-))

  • @neumi17 Haha!

  • @What4 He didn`t even get one dribble ...!

  • What a game! Man U so far have disproved my pre-match thoughts that Man U will struggle to score and Arsenal will rip through. Yes Arsenal have so far scored 2 but have mostly been nullified. Man U youngsters > Man U experienced lads

  • Amazing game from Gabriel thus far... 3 inches way from conceding a penalty, that botched clearance which perfectly set up Utd's first goal then failing to contest a header of the striker straight in front of him who had already scored.

  • @SteveHyland, i agree Steve. I was amazed to see Per on the bench knowing that Martial wasn't playing because of a hamstring injury so he would have no pace to threaten him.

  • @rogue- Yep and the only time in the previous game Martial played against Mertesacker and did cause him problems with his pace (home to Monaco last season) was because Bellerin was out of position and Per had to be in positional limbo in between the RB and RCB positions. Gabriel was bought because his style of play suits the more modern way and Wenger's own way, of defending which begs the question why buy a traditional defender like Mertesacker and try to change him when the primary raw skill needed to play that way, pace, is missing? I like Per but if we're to move to the modern way of defending where pace is considered a better asset than everything people would've considered mandatory in a good CB a decade ago, fair enough. The replacement has to be good enough though and in half the games Gabriel has played in, he's made at least 1 error which should've or did lead to a goal.. Given he already played in the system at Villareal, it's worrying.

  • Cracking game so far.WTF Rashford is on fire.Glad to see Welbeck score. HT. Lets hope the 2nd half is just as good.

  • Rashford new Cr7

  • @koziol.mutant Bebe

  • This should be fun

  • That's the problem with Depay. 15 ! dribbles against a Danish team and Zero so far against a decent side...

  • @neumi17 Memphis is playing sick so far...

  • @neumi17 He is playing safe

  • @arny.diaz.7 If there is one player in ManU s squad that isn't supposed to play save than Depay ! If he does he does wrong...

  • @neumi17 safe

  • OMG United 2-0 up already!

  • @rogue Thats Rashfold for you.

  • 1-0 or 1-1

  • @neumi17 Ok, I should have gone with my gut feeling. Now I say 3:1 or 4:1

  • Jesse lingard MOTM. Final score 2-1 in favour of Man Utd. I fancy a suprise here...

  • Victory for Arsenal is crucial against this depleted Manu side. With Wenger admitting that Arsenal's chances are slim at best against Barcelona at Camp Nou, the focus turns to the league. Despite Arsenal's February record in the last decade, tough schedule ahead and head to head record against Manu away, there's no better time to get all 3 points and stay in the race.

  • In reverse fixture Arsenal won the match in 10 mins because they surprised United with their high tempo. Without Cazorla combining with Sanchez and Özil, it's hard to see similar outcome for this match. Neither teams' from stands out so this should be quite even game, possibly very similar to Arsenal's game against City: first 30 mins very careful with both teams trying to gain the control and both teams to get chances towards the half time. Arsenal will score at some point but fail to kill the game giving the ball to United for about last 20 minutes. 0-1 or 1-2 win for Arsenal.

  • 0-2

  • So many player injured manU side lokking hard for Arsenal to win but that will be.

  • More injuries then fit players for United...

  • 2:1

  • Both teams with targets, but still, it is the same MU, huge injured list and i guess, there will be 0-0 at HT. Arsenal win.

  • Arsenal might have a tough time the coming weeks. The goalscoring in PL has been under par to say the least, atleast for a team that would challenge for the PL title. Giroud 10 games - 3 goals, Sanchez 10 games 1 goal, (haven't scored in PL since 17th October) Özil 10 games - 2 goals (no complaining on the assist department though) and Walcott has only scored twice during the last 14(!) games. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Joel Campbell and Danny Welbeck are not even in this discussion. Replacements and reinforcements together with some some luck needed for next season, cause this one is currently heading down the drain. Not a bad performance vs Barcelona but Wenger might want to rest the top players for the away-match and focus on the league instead.

  • Arsenal's problem is Giroud upfront, Per at CB, Flamini as a sub and Ramsey in the middle. However United are really wounded and have several key injuries going into this game and I have a feeling don't have anything to face Arsenal with for a win! I'm expecting a 0:2/3 final score

  • Would like to see: Cech, Bellerin, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal, Ramsey, Coquelin, Sanchez, Oezil, Gibbs, Welbeck. That's the lineup I'd like to see play Barcelona at the Nou Camp, It gives us balance, retains strong defensive output from the 2 wide players of the 3 behind the 9 and Welbeck offers us more against teams who naturally like to play with a high defensive line. As often as that team can play together before now and the 16th march, 4 prem games- I'd rest them all against Hull, the better. It's important we show in the game we can match it with the best, even if we ultimately lose (which is probable), for the long-term good of the club, otherwise our top players will leave. For this game, conceding possession to Utd is OK, We create more chances with 35% than Utd do with having 65% but taking them is the worry. 2 missed before Barca scored. We wont win many games while we top the league in chances created yet are 2nd bottom in chances converted. I'll go 2-0 Arsenal.

  • @SteveHyland I don't know if I'd start Walcott. His best asset is the pace, and United will just sit behind the ball and take away space. It won't allow him to use his best (and currently only) asset. He'd serve better as a sub to bring on when United feels the pressure to open up offensively in a 0-0 or 1-0 to Arsenal scenario.

  • @abright70- I would never start Walcott unless he was my last option. Lol. Coming on after an hour to run at tired legs is what his role in the team should be. He'll never be a striker and his final delivery is still too poor to even be considered a regular starting RW.

  • @SteveHyland Since Walcott isn't effective lately and Gibbs can press so well, I like the idea. Doubt Wenger will do it but I like it better than Campbell. I imagine that Theo's great performance at CF earlier in the year will mean a Alexis, Theo, Welbeck up top.

  • @SteveHyland Walcott is probably the worst player in the whole league in terms of defending as a winger. Very weak defensive contribution is an understatement. Depending on the line up Arsenal can win. Depends on the line up tho. Can't predict this before seeing the team sheets.

  • @TacticalMastermind2.0- Worse than Navas?! Ha. I'm not a Walcott fan at all as I'm sure most know by now. He has hardly progressed since his Southampton days imo. All the parts of his game which he should've improved, he hasn't and all the errors which should've been eradicated, haven't been. It looks the same with Chamberlain tbh. Either their talent at such an early age was overhyped (possible since we're in England) or Wenger has failed to develop them. Given both of those were rated higher than Bale at the same age, I know which option I'd pick.

  • 1-2

  • We'll see if Arsenal can realize how close they could have been to beating Barça and come out hot or if they will have thin skin over the loss. I'll echo the sentiment I see around some places and say I would like to see Welbeck start at CF. Maybe Walcott on the left and Alexis on the right since United like to attack down the left. Alexis can support Bellerin a bit better than Theo.

  • @Bellerin They were nowhere near beating Barca. Barca OWNED that game. The gooners looked soooo far out of their element

  • @abright70- We had 2 chances that world class players would've put away for fun that unfortunately fell to 2 non world-class players, before Barcelona had any chances let alone good ones.

  • @abright70 We parked the bus and held firm. After Chambo missed his clear goal attempt, we had to push forward a bit bit more to try to get a goal. That's when we got caught on the counter. Chambo goal = no push forward = no counter. The attack also put more work into Coquelin, tiring him our more than parking the bus. His replacement fouled Messi. I think it's fair to say that if Chambo scores, we win. That's not what your standard dumbass pundit will tell you about the game but that's what happened.

  • 2:1 UNITED!!! even with LVG

  • United are rubbish but Arsenal can't score. Arsenal to have 70% possession and 19 shots off target. 0-0.

  • Would be glad to see Welbeck start this one. He's more mobile than Giroud and he's looked sharp far.

  • Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is injured and definitely out for this one.

  • 2-0 Arsenal, hope to see Sanchez waking up, hasn't been sharp recently...

  • Both teams lost the first legs of their European matches. Arsenal lost 2-0 to Barca at home :'( while Man United lost to Midgetland away :'D.

  • Should be a tight game,12-10 for Arsenal

  • Latest news gabby n Gibbs r out for AFC & Damien , felleni , borthwick_jackson & Rooney r out for MU

  • Manchester United - Arsenal 1:1

  • @necracker 1-1? Sure your name ain't just crackers?

  • @Khanya :)

  • for once in my life i will become a 90 minute man utd fan and hope they dig in for a draw ...at least

  • @Foxeyrod He's a Leicester for sure, he has a "Fox" in his nickname :)

  • @Foxeyrod What a curious position to take, strange. Whatever your fan loyalty is, would you want to adopt a team purely as an anti arsenal antic. How odd. Suspect you are a spud.

  • @Khanya butthurt Arsenal fan

  • @Khanya Foxeyrod Could be a Leicester or a Spurs fan.

  • @Overmars Right. I just felt like ribbing the dude, and given that he would adopt such a poorly team as the current Man U bunch, thought its gotta be a Spurs fan. Such levels of desperation.

  • @Khanya the only thing im desperate for dude is for my beloved little leicester city to win the league. if we win all twelve of our remaining games... no one can catch us. but i doubt this will happen so i will accept help from man utd or anyone who is playing any of our two rivals arsenal or tottenham between now and the end of the season. i disregard man cuty, they have given up.

  • @Foxeyrod Fair enough. I wish Leicester good luck as I would prefer the Foxes to win over City and especially Spurs.

  • 2-0 Arsenal, Utd. are rubbish.

  • Dat Guy Welbz once again ;)

  • Very big test for both teams AFC have a slight advance with a 4 day rest btw their last game with MU having two days to recover

  • @daja411 Yes, poor Man U up against the mighty Midttyjetjyland, it's not like it's their fault they're in the Europa League, is it?

  • @daja411 Arsenal going to do the double on Man U, when last did that happen?

  • @Khanya Almost forgot. Of the newly promoted sides even Bournemouth managed to secure a point on the road against Sunderland. Man Utd couldn't even manage that. Complete & utter overpaid & over rated rubbish!

  • @Khanya : I know. Awful result against Sunderland but hardly surprising considering this is probably United's worst team in decades. Man City, Spurs, Liverpool & newly promoted Norwich (1-3) & Watford had no problems picking up 3 points from a relegation threatened 19th placed Sunderland @ the Stadium of Light but this United side.........well it's beyond any help Pep Guardiola could have brought which is no wonder he chose Man City instead. In summary Man Utd 0 Arsenal 5.
