Liverpool star agrees blockbuster summer exit

Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold has agreed to terms ahead of a free transfer to Real Madrid this summer, reports talkSPORT.

The future of the England international - as well as soon-to-be free agent team-mates Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk - has been the talk of the season off the pitch on Merseyside.

But now it has emerged that the 26-year-old will sign a five-year deal in the Spanish capital this summer, worth in excess of £220,000 per week.

Alexander-Arnold has been free to speak to European clubs since entering the last six months of his deal in January, and it looks as though those negotiations have led to an agreement.

The Liverpool right-back has enjoyed a strong season under Arne Slot, and is currently the best rated defender in the Premier League (7.15).

It remains to be seen how the Premier League leaders will look to replace Alexander-Arnold in the summer, or if Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk are any closer to signing new terms of their own.
